Her Recent Projects & Experience

I worked for a marketing agency for five years learning how to help businesses and nonprofits with their marketing.

At the same time, I was also establishing my writing career, and the launch of my first book was so successful that other authors started approaching me and asking me for marketing help. From there, I started taking on author clients with marketing coaching and researching optimization. I left the marketing agency in 2021 and I’ve never looked back!

Her Education & Training

My undergraduate degree is in English Education and I have a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology/Human Development—the perfect degree for sales psychology, persuasive marketing copy and understanding the psychology of marketing.

I’ve received specialized marketing training in a variety of areas, too numerous to list here! And I’ve enjoyed participating in numerous writing conferences, marketing workshops and masterminds.

Some of my mentors include:

For all things marketing and entrepreneur, I look to Julie Chenell! She’s geared more toward digital entrepreneurs, and is very insightful.

For branding wisdom, my go-to person is Dre Beltrami.

A few others resources and gurus I adore: The Business of Writing: Kirsten Oliphant, 20 Books to 50K, Claire Taylor, Nicholas Eric, David Gaughran, Becca Syme and too many more to list here!

Did you know:
1. I adore romantic comedies!
(both books and movies)
2. I have three adopted kids (including one in heaven who was born with a genetic disease). The story of adopting our son who was terminally ill became my first book and won two book awards.
3. Before kids, I worked in musical theater, writing plays and sketch comedy.

claim to fame

I won a state playwriting award and got to see my work on stage, which was a blast!
(And totally nerve-wracking since afterward the audience got to discuss my play in front of me.)
