Hi. I’m Milena—College Student, Intern, and Editor!
I love fiction and nonfiction stories that help the lost and lonely find a sense of belonging. I enjoy working on the finer details of a piece to help bring the bigger vision to life, whether that’s through analyzing a character’s speech in a particular scene, choosing the perfect adjective to describe something, or tidying up grammar and punctuation that could otherwise distract from the main message.
I’m a college student studying English with a concentration in Creative Writing and a minor in Communication. When I am not working on writing assignments or video projects, I can often be found reading or writing in local coffee shops, watching movies, and spending time with friends and family.

Her Specialties

Reading and writing are part of my day-to-day as a university student. I love creating stories and helping other people bring their ideas to life.
I am an author, editor, photographer, and filmmaker. I am also passionate about connecting with people through stories, both written and digital.
Her Recent Projects & Experience
Though I am new to the MRM team and the publishing industry, I have had experience editing several manuscripts, participated in multiple writing workshops where I provided meaningful feedback for peers, and served as the assistant editor for my university’s student journal. Independently, I have offered alpha and beta reader services, grammar edits and character development to aspiring authors.
For Market Refined Publishing, I recently completed the final proofread for Françoise Mastroianni’s book, Becoming, and was excited to dive into my first MRP project.
Her Education & Training
In 2026, I will graduate with my bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing with a minor in communications.
I’ve been creating stories for as long as I can remember. My parents, who homeschooled me from Pre-K to 12th grade, instilled in me a love for books, so from the time I was old enough to hold a crayon, I would create my own books (even if I needed help writing the words themselves). Throughout high school, I studied the Great Books, and I wrote, presented, and defended my high school senior thesis.
I am in the Honors College at my university, which focuses on studying philosophy, literature, and theology. My education has always had a strong emphasis on writing, and editing gives me a way to make a career out of it!

claim to fame
I’m half-Australian. One of my ancestors was a convict on the first fleet of ships that settled the country (the Australian equivalent of having an ancestor on the Mayflower).
