We had the pleasure of working with Rachel Goode a few years ago to create a professional website for her university research group, Living FREE Lab, and we thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Rachel and her team, as well as their research studies. When she contacted us again to request a brand and website design for her new health coaching business, of course we were thrilled to create this new online space for her.
To ensure Rachel’s new business started off on a strong foundation, we added our brand planning and development package and a mini brand design to the WordPress website design.
About This Recent Project
Brand Planning & Development
We included brand planning at the start of the project, and partnered with our associate Samantha Goggans from Mark’d by Design to help Rachel flesh out a plan for her services and the overall brand she wanted to build. Samantha did a fantastic job of guiding Rachel through her mission statement and elements that were important to her – for the basis of her services and for the “feel” she hoped to provide to those who her new business would reach.
Brand & Website Design
For the brand identity package, Carol’s designs incorporated Rachel’s favorite color palette in a way that stayed true to her niche. Wellness brands often use shades of blues and greens – these hues are representative of peace and good health – and Carol adapted that color palette beautifully.
We created a clean, contemporary logo design for Rachel using her first and last name. The key to this feminine yet professional look was the incorporation of a unique script font paired with a clean serif font in the color palette Rachel chose.
The script and serif font pairing was also significant in the overall style of Rachel’s site design. Though both fonts and colors were clean and contemporary, the contrast of the script font against the other elements added visual interest and broke up the heavy text content. The script also softened the design compared to the large blocks of color separating information.
We created a beautiful and professional about page to both welcome visitors in and showcase Rachel’s credentials and portions of her own weight loss journey. A blog, a services page, and a contact page round out the new website’s sitemap.
Rachel opted to use third-party apps or websites for her course and other services rather than adding those to the WordPress website. Hopefully in the future we can support the growth of her business by streamlining her online presence.
What Rachel had to say…
“Thank you so much for all of your hard work! I look forward to using this new website!”
