MRM Project Feature: Rescue 1 Global

Daniel and Lacy Tolar have a unique and inspiring story for their personal journey into ministry and service. Like many of us, God used several bumps in the road and detours along the way to guide them to His planned path for founding and growing Rescue 1 Global, a powerful nonprofit battling human trafficking and slavery worldwide.

The Rescue 1 Global team reached out to MRM for a much-needed website redesign, in addition to an SEO deep dive, help with repackaging their marketing messages, and creating clear pathways in their website and funnels for the different audiences they serve. Given the nature and necessity of their work, our team was extremely honored to assist with this online overhaul, and it was “all hands on deck” as we worked for several months to complete the project.

About This Recent Project

SEO & Website Design

As is the case with many of our projects, the first step was a lengthy discovery process as our team researched R1G’s existing website, analytics and user behaviors, social media messaging and presence, and various resources. We performed a thorough SEO audit, analyzing their sitemap along with the competitor landscape, to determine the best ways to optimize the new website’s flow, function, and language. Once this research was complete, we presented the R1G team with a proposal for reducing their bulky sitemap and restructuring key pages to improve the user’s experience.

With their approval of our proposal, we then moved on to the website design, which focused on incorporating their existing branding and adding optimal functionality for volunteers and donors in particular. Because there are many different ways to get involved in the work Rescue 1 Global is doing, we created a “landing page” to serve as a hub for all of those options. This provides an easy place for site visitors to see an overview of how they can participate as well as the impact of their involvement.

Of course, it was also priority to ensure the entire website was user-friendly on all devices and browsers and that most external resources were properly imported to the website for ease and accessibility. We also helped the R1G team incorporate their external online store into the website, which again helps keep traffic on their site and makes it easy for a new visitor to interact, donate, or purchase in one visit.

To streamline and improve the backend of the website, we also helped move rescue1global.org to cloud hosting with Flywheel and integrated website forms, the store, and resources with the large informational database R1G had recently established in Salesforce.

Our prayer is that the final product will serve Rescue 1, their founders and donors, and their mission well into the future.

What the Rescue 1 Global team had to say…

“The new website is GORGEOUS!! Thank you so much for all your help!”
