MRM Project Feature: Chief Flame the Arson Cat Publishing Project

Previous Market Refined Publishing author Ryan Donald partnered with local firefighter Gina Thompson on a mission to teach fire safety to children in their area. The result was an incredibly fun and kid-friendly teaching resource that doubles as a coloring book, showcasing the well-known and ever lovable Chief Flame the Arson Cat.

When Ryan reached out to our team, the content of the book was mostly complete, but he and Gina needed help bringing creating a print-ready version of their vision. This project was definitely a break from our norm, as was Ryan’s previous book Letters to Dogs, and it was super fun flexing our creative muscles again for this one.

MRM Project Feature: Lorie Newman Brand & Website Design

Lorie Newman is a speaker and teacher with a powerful testimony and a passion for “rising up” on behalf of our families. Through tremendous personal loss, Lorie learned to advocate and fight through true spiritual warfare and now provides opportunities for others to do the same through her newly-founded nonprofit Anointed Life Christian Equipping.

Neither Lorie nor her ministry had an online presence prior to this year, and a mutual friend directed her our way. We were able to create a beautiful and functional online space for Anointed Life, provide a professional brand package for the ministry, and establish a donor suite and eStore to help meet the financial needs for the nonprofit.

Refined Conference 2024: The Recap

Last year, we hosted our first Refined Conference in Chattanooga, Tennessee, with a small group of attendees, five amazing speakers, and several of our team members present. It was a beautiful day of easy conversations, precious encouragement and worship, and true community.

The Refined Conference 2024, held September 13-14, was intentionally designed to welcome in faith-based creatives from all phases and stages in their writing and business journeys and create space for genuine community and opportunity for support. The overarching theme in our hearts as we planned was “Living Out Your Calling”, whatever that calling is or whatever it might look like.

MRM Project Feature: Connecting Hearts & Conversations Website Redesign

Marketing and literary agent Blythe Daniel is a long-time client of MRM. Our team designed and still maintains her agency website, along with working with several of the authors the Blythe Daniel Agency represents. When Blythe became an author herself, alongside her sweet mother Dr. Helen McIntosh, we had the pleasure of creating a single-page website for their first book, which was later expanded to include their second release. This time the redesign also included a rebrand to better feature the family of authors and of books.
