Stephanie Wilkins is new to MRM and originally reached out to us for marketing assistance as she planned to launch her new nutrition consultation business. After the initial discovery call, we agreed that the best first step for her new brand was a professional website. The new website would create an online hub for all of her services and resources and increase the success of any email or social media marketing efforts.
In addition to a WordPress website design, we added our brand planning and development package and a mini brand identity package to Stephanie’s project scope, to set her business up for longterm success.
About This Recent Project
Brand Planning & Development
Stephanie already had a good outline of the services and programs she planned to offer to clients, so she primarily needed our help organizing the information and mapping it out in her website page content in a way that would encourage new client signups and sales conversions. Over the course of three planning calls, we worked together to structure and optimize the text for the five key pages of her website, creating text-based wireframes our designer could follow for the page mockups.
Brand & Website Design
For Stephanie’s brand identity package, it was important to find colors and elements relevant to her niche. Wellness brands tend to use a lot of blues and greens – these hues are representative of peace and good health. Stephanie chose the leaf and silhouette for her logo design, again representative of her area of service and the audience she serves.
Once the brand design was complete, we proceeded to the website design. Stephanie’s previous website was a simple blog but the new site home page needed to provide an overview of her new business and invite visitors to click through to learn more. We created a beautiful and professional about page to both welcome visitors in and showcase her certifications, qualifications, and snippets of her products and services. Sales pages were created for Stephanie’s two primary audiences – Individual and Group Nutrition Services and Small Business Wellness Services. A blog, a page full of recommended resources, and a contact page round out the new website’s sitemap.
SEO & Ecommerce
With Stephanie’s business model of programs, classes, and consultations, a typical eCommerce setup would have been somewhat limiting, so we tested out the new-to-us Book Like a Boss platform to create a more flexible scheduling and sales solution for her. Our team was quite pleased with the options Book Like a Boss provides for an economical fee, and we look forward to using it more in the future.
The last addition to Stephanie’s project was our SEO Jumpstart. We reviewed recent traffic and searches for her previous blog, identified relevant keywords for her new business and content, and optimized all of the new site’s key pages, adding the keywords, headings, and calls to action where appropriate. We set up the new site in Google Analytics and The Search Console and submitted her sitemap to all search engines.
We’re excited to see where this new online venture takes Stephanie and are thrilled to have been a part of making her knowledge and expertise more available to her clients.
What Stephanie had to say…
