Meet MRM: Jenifer Jernigan – Book Coach & Developmental Editor

Hi, I’m Jenifer! Lover of stories, old things, and simplicity. Wife to an amazing man and mom to 3 incredible kids.

Asking questions (I think this is where my counseling degree comes into play!) and leading someone to make their dreams become a reality is one of my greatest joys.

As a Book Coach and Developmental Editor, I help others turn their ideas into sentences, sentences into paragraphs, and paragraphs into written works that will encourage, teach and inspire others.

Refined Conference 2024: The Recap

Last year, we hosted our first Refined Conference in Chattanooga, Tennessee, with a small group of attendees, five amazing speakers, and several of our team members present. It was a beautiful day of easy conversations, precious encouragement and worship, and true community.

The Refined Conference 2024, held September 13-14, was intentionally designed to welcome in faith-based creatives from all phases and stages in their writing and business journeys and create space for genuine community and opportunity for support. The overarching theme in our hearts as we planned was “Living Out Your Calling”, whatever that calling is or whatever it might look like.

Welcome to 2024, friends! It feels redundant to say this each year, but it’s hard to believe it’s already time for a new year to begin. Looking back over the previous year always brings waves of sentimentality and gratefulness for all we were a part of, curiosity over what’s to come, and determination to do more or better. 2023 was truly a year of fully embracing our calling and purpose—as individuals, as a team, and as a community—even when it was a little scary or uncertain. Join us as we attempt to summarize as much of 2023 as we can!

MRM Team Retreat 2023: Dreaming Big!

Our Market Refined Media & Publishing team is completely virtual—we are scattered coast-to-coast across the country with Mandy, our team leader, located near the Chattanooga, Tennessee area where we held workshops and the Refined Conference this year! For the day-to-day operations of MRM, we stay connected to each other with regular team (Zoom) calls, sometimes lengthy emails, a private team Facebook group, and some days, never-ending text threads!

For years, Mandy had the vision to bring our team together—in-person—under one roof for a long weekend to dream, plan, pray and pour into each other, and that vision finally came to life for us last year.

Refined Conference 2023: The Recap

We dreamed of a day to sit and pour into a group of individuals with their own dreams and aspirations. We dreamed of moments to hug and encourage and whisper “You’ve got this.” We prayed for a day filled with valuable education wrapped up in conversations that were easy, casual, and hopeful.

Those prayers and dreams came true abundantly this past weekend as we hosted the first Refined Conference.

God called you to do big things for His glory. He called us to support and equip you on that journey.

Roadmapping Your Story: A Recap of MRM’s First Workshop

One of our BIG goals for 2023 is to bring community off-line, to create in-person events and spaces for real connection and community.

MRM’s “Roadmapping Your Story” workshop Saturday, March 25, our first in-person event, was a wonderful time of prayer, learning, and encouragement . . . that almost didn’t happen. Friday night brought storms to the area, and Saturday morning we woke to news that the venue didn’t have power and the roads leading to the venue were closed! But God . . .
